← Going back to IR, IR, IR.

Hello!

Rick and I are working a new project. It's called Admiral General. Here's a few songs:

We have about 8 tracks finished so far, and we want to have about 15 or so done before we start putting stuff out in any serious form. We love packaging, so no, don't expect us to just put all the tracks up here without designing something for it. Want to pay for recording, mastering, pressing? I know you do! Send your checks to: Me, Brooklyn, NY.

THIS was CIRCUS OF THE STARS:

Geographics is the latest album Circus of the Stars has put out, it was made in mostly one week in August of 2004, recorded primarily on a 1/2 Inch Tascam 38 8-track with some drums recorded one stereo input straight into a G4 Powerbook using Cubase. The only mics used to record were Shure SM-57's (3) and one AT4033.

Richard B. Wallace did the design for the CD, N. Timothy Salazar played and sang everything. If you're interested purchasing a copy, e-mail me at tim(at)infiniteregress.org. This has been out long enough that I put up all the tracks here.

Here's the tracklist:

1. i better not be here when i get back
2. sunroof television
3. for the benefit
4. never get (s) old
5. raise a glass to
6. rate the days (you better be scared)
7. general advices against
8. bottle rockets

The following are past recordings that you can burn and blast in your boom box while carrying it down the street like run dmc; in the alternate, you can burn it and then subsequently, if you don't like the music, burn it:

-I sent some scratch tracks to Brandon a while ago so that he could record drums for this song. Josh and I recorded everything else at my place in Hermosa. It was tracked to my laptop using the drums Brandon did and the singing Rick did. My Little Brother rises from the dead. This did show up on the Magic Marker Records compilation, House Full of Friends, available right here. A song by the band, about the band, named after the band. Hilarious. (april 04)

My Little Brother | MLB
-I re-recorded the drums to "general advices against" the other day, then fed it into my computer, compressed it a bit, and somehow added some digital clipping which is annoying and hurts my ears, but the drums sound a lot better, thanks to the gifts of mics from friends and family. (jan 04)
general advices against (new)
-I originally had planned on doing a bunch of covers of my favorite songs instead of a boring top ten list at the end of 2003, but only really got around to recording one song. I'll be honest, it took me kind of a long time to actually do that one, too, since i kept fiddling with stuff and trying to play with a click track (apparently not one of my strong points). this song, however, did rank in the tops of 2003-- it's a postal service song, from the album give up. (dec 03)
brand new colony
-Brandon came down to Hermosa for a week and we wrote and recorded a song one afternoon. This is what we came up with. We think we're pretty funny. (sept 03)
sierra madre
-I'm in the process of getting the new full length recorded. I'm doing it all myself in our little place in Hermosa on a Tascam 1/2 inch reel to reel 8 track. Most of it's done with one mic, but I use a Sony Minidisc stereo mic for some of it. Here's the last three tracks I've recorded (late summer 2003):
