head, shoulders, neck, legs and arms. Well, not really, but the shoulders do ache - tremendously. but somehow, i don't think it has anything to do with the training. the training is actually fun - for now.
so last saturday, we had our first team bike ride, and it wasn't that bad. it was fun and a bit relaxing because we were riding at a pretty leisurely pace, and i got to know a few of my teammates. they're all really great people, and i'm thankful that i get to meet and train with such great athletes and human beings.
ooh, how about a survey... how many of you think i should get a new bike? raise your hand.
i'm doing it! i'm doing my first triathlon in march with team in training. and i'm going to raise a bunch of money to help find a cure for blood cancers, and they're going to train me to finish a triathlon. you know you want to help. so donate.
i've finished my first week of training for the triathlon. and i'm tired. really tired, but i feel good about it. although, i had a conversation about it at lunch today, and after describing the course, the response was, "oh. that sounds doable." is it stupid of me to want to do something that doesn't sound "doable"?
